A good representation?

Hello lovelies! Since I was a little girl I have always loved the fantasy of the love portrayed in romantic films. The classic boy meets girl and they fall hopelessly head over heels. This is what I grew up believing to be the truth of love. The reality was a massive wake up call; instead of coming away with the love of my life I came away with being used and left broken hearted. The point of today's post is to discuss whether RomCom/ romantic films are a good representation of love to the younger mind set. Of course the older audience that watch this genre of film have had the experience of the themes within the films and so take them with a pinch of salt. However could the representation lead to the younger mindset being built up for disappointment? The movie genre in question has countless films with the same story line and I believe Leonard from 'The Big Bang Theory' summed it up perfectly; 'it's an hour and half of houses in the rain for it to end with the
