President Trump.

Donald Trump is now the 45th president to be elected. Yep you just read that correctly. The sexist, racist bigot is now in charge of one of the most influential countries in the world.

The question that I want Americans to answer is how could they back track so much? They had just elected their first black president, for two terms, and now they have elected the most misinformed politician we've ever seen.
I thing that confuses me the most is how could any woman vote for Trump after he made sexist comments such as 'grab her by the pussy'. He responded when this was leaked by saying it was locker room banter. This isn't the case, it's disrespect to all females, the fact that he thinks it's okay to treat females in this manner is disgusting. The young girls of America now have this man as a leader and role model.

Of course in the run up to the vote Trump said some outrageous things, such as building a wall on the border of Mexico, to appeal to the radicals to secure these votes. I don't believe he will act on any of these things but the issue with Trump are his underlying beliefs and his lack of political knowledge. This man has control of nuclear weapons. This man was supported by Putin. When it was announced that Trump had been victorious in Russian parliament there was an outbreak of applause. Jim Pence, the soon to be Vice President, believes homosexuality can be cured. Is a man appointing someone like this to be his number 2 equipped to be President? I think not. How did he win? Obviously Hillary Clinton isn't the perfect candidate, she had made mistakes, but she has 40 years political experience, she would've had a former president at her side and it would have progressed America with female empowerment.

Now the vote has been cast. We are stuck with him for 4 years. I am interested with how he deals with the role; how will he work with Theresa May and the Queen, will his relationship with Putin function or deteriorate and how he will deal with the fundamental issues surrounding modern day America? I suppose we will find out.

Blue Story - why the film shouldn't be banned

Blue Story was released on Friday, a movie about teenagers growing up in London and how they are sucked into gang culture. The film, which has been likened to the hit show Top Boy, has now been banned from all Vue cinema's in light of an incident at one of their venues in Birmingham - a decision that I think is ridiculous. Photo from Rapman's Instagram. While the safety of cinema goers is of course integral, the incident in question has not been directly linked to the film. In addition, many of the people involved are not even old enough to watch the rated 15 movie . Police have not mentioned the movie in any of their inquiries and have not recommended a ban - something the media has not shone as much of a light on. The reason this has got under my skin is that after I watched the movie on Sunday the message I took away from it is that the systematic culture of gangs is heartbreaking and unnecessary. At the heart of this film its creator Rapman is trying to say that, whil...

James Haskell's heartbreak at retirement due to injury

James Haskell has been a professional rugby player for 17 years. He has won Premiership and European championship titles with Wasps and many other titles while playing in France, New Zealand and Japan. He has had a glittering international career with England as well, winning the Six Nations, a whitewash test series in Australia and earning 77 caps for his national side. He has also toured with the British and Irish Lions. Now at the age of 34 Haskell is retiring.* "It's really daunting, I'm effectively unemployed at the end of the season. It's terrifying as it will be as if I haven't done anything." Northampton Saints home ground Franklin's Gardens looks like a fortress. It looms over the houses and businesses that surround it. In the car park are Rolls Royces, BMWs and Audis of the players turning up to training. Wales fly half Dan Biggar skips up a flight of stairs as I walk into reception. It's hard not to feel the stardom and celebration of s...

30 things I want to do before I'm 30

Hi lovelies! I'm turning 18 soon and thought it would be a good idea to write this post and then come back to it when I turn 30 and see if I could tick all of the thing off of the list! Having a check list for me means that I'm more obligated to go ahead with my ideas rather than pushing them to the back of my mind and backing it of them. SO here we go! 30: Have a spontaneous holiday. Go to the airport and just get a plane. I think this would be so much fun! 29: Fall in love. I know very cheesy but if I haven't fallen in love by the time I'm 30 I may as well be Bridget Jones; become a spinster and be eaten by wild Alsatians. If you've seen the film you'd get that reference! 28: Be in a job I love! Listen up future me if you aren't in a job you love leave it now and get one you do! There's no point in working somewhere that doesn't motivate you to get up every morning. 27: Had the courage to start up Youtube again. I posted some videos last year...
