30 things I want to do before I'm 30

Hi lovelies!
I'm turning 18 soon and thought it would be a good idea to write this post and then come back to it when I turn 30 and see if I could tick all of the thing off of the list! Having a check list for me means that I'm more obligated to go ahead with my ideas rather than pushing them to the back of my mind and backing it of them. SO here we go!

30: Have a spontaneous holiday. Go to the airport and just get a plane. I think this would be so much fun!
29: Fall in love. I know very cheesy but if I haven't fallen in love by the time I'm 30 I may as well be Bridget Jones; become a spinster and be eaten by wild Alsatians. If you've seen the film you'd get that reference!
28: Be in a job I love! Listen up future me if you aren't in a job you love leave it now and get one you do! There's no point in working somewhere that doesn't motivate you to get up every morning.
27: Had the courage to start up Youtube again. I posted some videos last year, I enjoyed it until the rest of my year group saw them and then persistently embarrassed me with them. It's safe to say there's no trace of them on the internet! But I loved doing it so it would be good to do it again!
26:Been on holiday to New York! My dream I to sing empire state of mind by Jay Z at the top of the Empire State building so it would be amazing to do that before I'm 30.
25: To get a first degree. I know this is more of one to go on a wish list because it's a hard one to meet it'll take a lot of work from me but I'd love to get a first in English.
24: Buy a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes. I love nearly every pair of these shoes and to own a pair would be a dream!
23: See a rugby world cup match.
22: Complete a half marathon/ marathon.
21: To not care what people think. I hope I have this attitude by the time I'm 30!
20: Go stargazing.
19: Live in London.
18: See the northern lights.
17: To have an article of mine be published in a respectable tabloid.
16: Have a chick flick, Hollywood type kiss. Lie a breath-taking kiss. Still cheesy sorry haha.
15: Be independent.
14: Own a Louis Vuitton bag.
13: Have a week where I just get drunk everyday with my closest friends.
12: Tell my brother everything I'm feeling. If you don't understand this one go read my blog post 'something a bit personal'.
11: Go on a road trip with my friends.
10: Kiss in the rain. Can't make much difference but there's this weird hype around it.
9: go to as many concerts as possible.
8: spend a night in the hotel in the Shard. The views would be amazing from up there!
7: Learn how to swim. I know I'm nearly 18 and still can't swim, it's embarrassing.
6:Say yes for a whole week.
5: Go to the theatre
4: Have a driving license.
3: Go to a festival.
2: go to Toni and Guy and let them do whatever with my hair.
1: Have a family (hopefully)

So yeah these are the things I want to do before I'm 30! Let me know what yours are!
I'll be posting on Sunday to let you know the events of my Birthday party this weekend, it should be amazing!
Love
LMR xx

Blue Story - why the film shouldn't be banned

Blue Story was released on Friday, a movie about teenagers growing up in London and how they are sucked into gang culture. The film, which has been likened to the hit show Top Boy, has now been banned from all Vue cinema's in light of an incident at one of their venues in Birmingham - a decision that I think is ridiculous. Photo from Rapman's Instagram. While the safety of cinema goers is of course integral, the incident in question has not been directly linked to the film. In addition, many of the people involved are not even old enough to watch the rated 15 movie . Police have not mentioned the movie in any of their inquiries and have not recommended a ban - something the media has not shone as much of a light on. The reason this has got under my skin is that after I watched the movie on Sunday the message I took away from it is that the systematic culture of gangs is heartbreaking and unnecessary. At the heart of this film its creator Rapman is trying to say that, whil...

James Haskell's heartbreak at retirement due to injury

James Haskell has been a professional rugby player for 17 years. He has won Premiership and European championship titles with Wasps and many other titles while playing in France, New Zealand and Japan. He has had a glittering international career with England as well, winning the Six Nations, a whitewash test series in Australia and earning 77 caps for his national side. He has also toured with the British and Irish Lions. Now at the age of 34 Haskell is retiring.* "It's really daunting, I'm effectively unemployed at the end of the season. It's terrifying as it will be as if I haven't done anything." Northampton Saints home ground Franklin's Gardens looks like a fortress. It looms over the houses and businesses that surround it. In the car park are Rolls Royces, BMWs and Audis of the players turning up to training. Wales fly half Dan Biggar skips up a flight of stairs as I walk into reception. It's hard not to feel the stardom and celebration of s...
