My current hair and beauty favourites!

Hello lovelies!
I've been watching loads of beauty favourites lately and it's help to build my make up collection, find products that suits my skin tone and build volume in my hair (God it needs it!. So here are a few of mine that I find help me out:

Starting with nails, the whole Barry M collection is fabulous! For me it doesn't chip easily, the range of colours has one for everyone and it makes doing your nails more fun rather than a chore! My particular favourite is the colour 'Forest'436. The matte finish leaves your nails looking professional and sleek. I swear by this product and recommend all of you to try it!

Moving on to my favourite beauty product; lipsticks! For me the right lipstick can bring the make up look altogether and makes it have more character. My two favourites at the moment are from Maybelline and MAC. The price difference between the two is big but the finish that they leave are very similar.

Firstly, the Maybelline colour drama in the shade 520 is amazing! Only £4.99 form Superdrug makes it a great bargain, stays on all day, a great shade of red. my favourite aspect is that it's a pencil making it easier to apply and it will last longer.

The MAC 'rebel' A43 was the first MAC lipstick I fell in love with. The colour is striking and is perfect for either a casual day or a night out. Lasts all day and the finish is fantastic. I am completely in love with this product and have swore by it for the last couple of years that I've had it. The only down fall is if you don't have a big budget then the price may cause a problem; it's £15 but its worth the money due to the longevity of this product.

Onto mascara! Unfortunately I don't have a high-street beauty store equivalent to this mascara as I haven't found one yet! The MAC haute and naughty too black lash is ideal. It extenuates the lashes, fanning them out with full coverage. It's the prefect mascara if you were going for smoky eye look and it makes your eyes look bold and highlights the colour of your eyes. This is the best mascara I've come across but if you have a cheaper alternative ( this one is around £20) please leave a comment so I can check it out!

Rimmel London Natural bronzer in 022 'sun bronze' is just wow. I found this after watching a Tanya Burr tutorial and I thought I'd give it a go. It blends easily and contours beautifully. I've had bronzers in the past that have been a bit patchy and wore off quite easily but this one does the trick! At a quite reasonable price I would say this was a must have for your make up collection.

Lastly for make up is the real techniques expert face brush is perfect for applying foundation. I use the match perfection foundation and this brush applies it was ease. it gives a full even coverage that leaves no patches. Completely swear by this and I can't use another brush; for me nothing compare to this one.

Hair. I can't decide which I prefer to do ; my hair or my make up! I have flat fine hair so on a night out I need to use products in order o style it nicely! First up is the Batiste dry shampoo XXL volume. This doesn't need much application as I found out; if you apply to much of this one I leaves your hair feeling worn out and bristly. However if you apply it thinly on the hair it leaves it with a lot of volume which for me means a lot more to play with when styling. I wouldn't use this day to day but for a night out its a perfect life saver!

This is me with my hair curled using his hair spray and I'm also wearing the MAC 'rebel' lipstick.

As my hair is fine if I want to curl my hair I have to use a good hair spray that will leave the look I want to achieve in for as long as possible. the hair spray that I find does the trick is the Pantene hairspray volume and body number 5. this has a strong hold that leaves my curls in for the duration of the night and leaves a finish that doesn't looks stuck or stiff. Great hair spray 10/10.

Lastly for hair is my all time favourite hair product. Literally I cannot go without it! Its the VO5 smoothly does it. I was stuck for hair idea one day so I watched all of Zoella's past hair tutorials and she recommended this and I have to say I agree with her. I apply it to a hair brush and brush it through my hair and it feels refreshed and smooth with it additionally looking shiny and sleek. For a last minute refresh of your hair when you cant be bothered to wash your hair until later on it is perfection. Its been a god send to me on many occasions.

Now I don't know if you can put these products into the hair and beauty category but I wanted to add them in because I love them! The first is the Zoella Lets glow candle from her beauty range. The smell is feminine, fruity and floral. It's ideal for a bath to relax and pamper. Whenever I have a pamper night this is by my side. Succeeded all my expectations; may do a blog post in the future about Zoƫ's products as I love them all!

The second product is the new One Direction perfume. Woah woah before you all start to judge me listen to my reasoning. Although I am a Directioner I wouldn't buy a perfume just because it's made y them. This scent is fresh. fruity and just what you need for a day to day perfume. The only problem ids that it doesn't ta on the skin for a great amount of time but the scent for me makes it a winner! The design of the bottle as well makes it look professional and for me this is their best perfume yet.

So that's it for my current hair and beauty favourites I hope you've found this helpful or at least interesting! Let me know in the comments below what your favourites are and if you try/ have tried any of these products.
Love
LMR xx

Blue Story - why the film shouldn't be banned

Blue Story was released on Friday, a movie about teenagers growing up in London and how they are sucked into gang culture. The film, which has been likened to the hit show Top Boy, has now been banned from all Vue cinema's in light of an incident at one of their venues in Birmingham - a decision that I think is ridiculous. Photo from Rapman's Instagram. While the safety of cinema goers is of course integral, the incident in question has not been directly linked to the film. In addition, many of the people involved are not even old enough to watch the rated 15 movie . Police have not mentioned the movie in any of their inquiries and have not recommended a ban - something the media has not shone as much of a light on. The reason this has got under my skin is that after I watched the movie on Sunday the message I took away from it is that the systematic culture of gangs is heartbreaking and unnecessary. At the heart of this film its creator Rapman is trying to say that, whil

Something a bit personal

Hello lovelies! Today I want to speak about something a bit personal to do with my family so if you aren't interested in that kind of stuff I'll give you warning now to leave! About 2 years ago I lost someone in my life who I looked up to and I was so close to. My brother walked out of my life to start a new one with his girlfriend and ever since I've been kind of lost. I didn't realise how much it had affected me until recently which is why I'm posting this. Mine and my brothers relationship was a close one; I'd tell him everything and visa versa. We of course had the odd spat but that's the same with every relationship, isn't it? I never really knew how much I needed him until he was gone, isn't that always the case? He just left and dropped me like he didn't care and I believe that he doesn't care about me or my family. He hasn't spoken to us in 2 and a bit years and to be quite honest I don't think he ever will. Now whenever som

Christmas is here!

Hi all! Christmas is upon us and I absolutely love this time of year! Everyone is happy and the Christmas spirit allows everyone to be kind towards each other. Working in retail means that I have to work on Christmas Eve but it's one of my highlights. It gets me in the Christmas mood and I also get first look at the Boxing Day bargains which is great as I work in Superdrug! The look I usually go for around this season is wearing more purple and navy colours which this year has been emphasised as I've dyed my hair purple. I needed a change; I had my hair ombre for the best part of a year and I needed something to make me stand out and to boost my confidence again. I've been feeling really self conscious lately and this was exactly what I needed to get myself back to myself again! The reception for it has been positive and I have been more confident so it worked (yay!). Here's what it looks like, let me know what you think! I hope you all have a wonderful Christma
